Dr Janaka Samaraweera is the ayurveda consultant at Villa Velmarie. He has his local ayurvedic center in kaluthara which is about fifteen minutes drive from the villa. Here he treats hundreds of patients as well as making is own ayurvedic oils and medicines.

Beautiful rest and treatment! When we first came to Ceylon at the Villa Velmarie Hotel- I didn't believe people came six or more times. And here's 2025-- we've had our third consecutive year of vacation and treatment at Villa Velmari. It's a complete relaxation and recovery complex! Everything is just wonderful-- soulful staff, delicious food, cleanliness and connection with nature. Now we have no doubt we will return here again! Huge thanks to owners and employees for their sensitivity and care! I recommend it!
