Me and my husband took Abhyangam full body and steam from Back to roots. I was so much stressed but I felt completely relieved after the massage. Rooms are so neat and washrooms are clean. The pineapple juice after the massage was so refreshing. It was my first experience in back to roots. The place is completely safe. If u would like to take treatment, just go ahead. I had been to 'back to roots' for my uterus problem treatment and had spend 9 days there. The caretaker Shyju and other staffs were very friendly and trustful. Back to roots makes you feel at home. Dr. Shyams treatment is worth to be mentioned. He had successfully treated me for my eczema earlier. I had consulted a number of other doctors prior to it and was disappointed with the outcome. Two months of his treatment I was cured of eczema. Now I'm under medication for my uterus issues which has to an extend resolved.His medications has helped me overcome my fatigue and anemia.Kudos and best wishes to Dr. Shyam and his staff.

Drift into a Relaxed Oasis

My husband was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. We have been under the able guidance of Dr Shyam in Dubai. He is the most effective doctor who treats his patients with utmost care along with medication. My husband has recovered very well under his care and support. We ( my husband, parents and I) went to his ayurvedic centre - Back to Roots in Thrissur for an ayurvedic retreat.
The team at Back to Roots, comprising the manager, the doctors, the therapists, and the cook, is in one word, INCREDIBLE!! True to its name, they do take us back to our roots. We felt we were in a surreal world. The ambrosial food, the invigorating treatments, the lush surroundings, and above all authentic and genuine warmth and smiles of the team cleansed our body, mind and spirit.

The simplicity of the place is its biggest strength. We realized if we adopt this lifestyle, there will never be any scope to fall ill, ever!!

Our journey started with a one to one meeting with the doctors who listened to us with great intent and advised us the course of treatment, including food, medicines and massages.

The meals were delicately balanced, nourishing and personalized as per the treatments. The cook, the gentlest soul on Earth, would adhere to all ayurvedic principles and serve the meal with utmost love and care. Each dining experience was a beautiful blessing. Gratitude ?

As for massages and treatments, the therapists were professional and yet personable. The massages were tailored, revitalizing, and gave an instant boost to our wellbeing. With one week of massages, we all felt energized.

The manager is the binding force who ensures a seamless stay at Back to Roots. He went out of the way to show us around the place, organize cabs, plan outings for us and spend quality time with my father in our absence. He was kind enough to take us to the nearby river and show us the bounteous beauty of the place!!

The fond farewell took our stay to another level altogether. The entire team came together to design a beautiful pookalam ( floral decoration/rangoli) and presented all of us traditional attire of Kerala. The manager sent us a message in the evening, to inquire if we had reached home safely.

Saying goodbye to the team at Back to Roots was as difficult as it is with family! We are confident that we will return next year too.

Back to Roots provided best medical and emotional service for complete holistic recovery of my wife, all the staff on site were very professional and compassionate, they offered sattvic delicious vegetarian food of lots of variety for quick recovery of mind body and soul

Very nice and authentic place. Staff very efficient and welcoming. Great doctor who makes for you a good consulting and personal treatment. There is always ready manager and staffs serve and arrange everything as our needs during the stay in Back to Roots. We felt staff like family and stays incredibly nature around. So many things are there to experience such as ayurvedic treatment and massaging,pond and fishing, trees and shadows, small goat and poultry farm, delicious food. So guys catch them as soon as possible
