My experience at Sacred Lotus Retreat was truly wonderful and deeply healing. From the moment I arrived, I was embraced by a peaceful atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. The retreat radiates serenity – surrounded by nature, it offers the perfect setting to relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with yourself.
The yoga sessions were beautifully guided, balancing strength and relaxation while creating a space for inner peace. The Ayurvedic treatments were authentic, personalized, and carried out with great care, leaving me refreshed and renewed in both body and mind.
The retreat is impeccably maintained – every corner is clean, organized, and filled with positive energy. The staff are exceptional: warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring every guest feels comfortable and cared for. From the therapists to the kitchen team, everyone works with so much love and sincerity.
What makes Sacred Lotus Retreat truly special is not just the treatments, but the heart behind them – the kindness of the people, the attention to detail, and the nurturing environment they create.
I left with a lighter heart, a calmer mind, and a healthier body. I would highly recommend Sacred Lotus Retreat to anyone seeking true healing, relaxation, and an unforgettable wellness journey. ?✨
My Ayurveda Journey at Sacred Lotus Índia was just perfect! Had Dr. Manu guiding me with his great knowledge and sensibility, as well as Dr Anusree and dr Talwin being always attentive and kind.
The architecture of the place is beautiful, an English house wirh beautiful gardens.
Starting from my beautiful and comfortable room, nice bathroom, reading room with my favorite window and comfortable yoga room.
Meals were served in a classy dining room, with healthy vegetable dishes, done specially for my sensitive stomach for spicy. Thanks to Bairam from housekeeping ?
Yoga teacher Maya’s classes are a combination of yoga and Soundhealing with her great voice.
Therapists Archana and Silpa are the best and took very good care of me, with twice a day treatments done in structured rooms and with a lot of experience.
All team, with the leadership of smiley and always available Ananthu, were just great! I’m also very great full for the great care from Slatty, responsible for making guests feel at home and she can surely do that!
I will be back. ?f
I had a wonderful stay at The Sacred Lotus. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and recharge.
The room was cozy, the bathroom spacious, and everything was spotless—giving a real sense of comfort and calm.
Breakfast was vegetarian and had a warm, homely touch, almost like being at my grandma’s house.
I also tried an Ayurvedic therapy, which was both relaxing and insightful. It gave me a simple introduction to this ancient approach to natural healing and balance, and I left with a much better appreciation for Ayurveda.
A big thanks to Ananthu for his warm hospitality and efforts in making our one-day stay extra comfortable.
Overall, a short but truly memorable visit—I’d be happy to return!!
On the path to overcoming a midlife crisis, I decided to try Panchakarma — my first one. I was searching for the right place, especially considering some serious medical conditions. I needed a clinic that would treat me with utmost care and an individualized approach. I was almost ready to overpay at Kalari Rasayana when a good local friend recommended *The Sacred Lotus* in Fort Kochi.
At first, I hesitated. The clinic is within the city limits, and although I really love Fort Kochi, coming from a big city like Moscow, I expected a retreat like this to be in a more natural, remote setting. But after the very first conversation with the doctor at The Sacred Lotus, my doubts began to fade.
Unlike other places I’d considered — including Kalari, where the initial doctor call felt more like a formality — my consultation here was a true, attentive deep dive into my condition. I spoke with Dr. Manmohan for 2.5 hours. I felt seen, heard, and taken seriously. That’s when I decided: this was the place. And I was right.
The three weeks I spent at The Sacred Lotus turned out to be truly sacred. It’s a small clinic, located in the center of old Kochi in a charming colonial-era Portuguese house with just eight rooms. I came during the off-season, and for most of the 21-day program, I was the only guest — which, of course, added a touch of luxury to the whole experience.
At first, I was a little disturbed by the noise from the nearby road. But being able to step outside and walk through the beautiful streets of Fort Kochi made up for it. And after all, I reminded myself: I came to a clinic, not a resort. If you’re sensitive to noise like me, I recommend rooms 6 or 8 — they’re quieter.
But the true heart of this place is its team — who, over three weeks, became like family.
Because it’s so small, all guests gather at one communal table for meals. Like at home. Only here, every dish is lovingly prepared to match each person’s unique diet plan. The food is delicious (oh, that rice soup from Chechi ?). If you’re hungry outside meal times, you can knock on the kitchen door — they’ll always try to come up with something for you. Almost always, unless the doctor says otherwise ?. If you befriend Anita and her kitchen team, you may never want to leave Panchakarma!
Yoga is an important part of the program. Maya, the teacher, is the Goddess of Shavasana. She can guide you into deep yoga nidra in five minutes, clearing and revitalizing your nervous system. I still listen to a secret recording I made of her class at bedtime — it helps calm my overthinking mind and guarantees restful sleep. Maya is the best. I love Maya!
The therapy team, led by Dr. Manmohan, truly knows what they’re doing. I especially appreciated their flexible, responsive approach — they adapted both the timing and content of my treatments based on how I was feeling each day. I’m happy with the results and how I’ve felt since completing the program.
I wasn’t expecting miracles. Life itself is already a miracle. Detox is detox. But the tangible results? Minus 3 kg, renewed energy, quitting smoking for good, and a rediscovered joy of life. What more could I ask for?
I also want to highlight the excellent management. The property manager, Ananthu, went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable — even helping me scour half the fabric shops in Kochi to find the right material for a kimono. Ananthu has excellent taste! Maya, thank you for leading that mission ❤️.
These three weeks in the petals of The Sacred Lotus were full of care, peace, and transformation. In the garden grow the most delicious green mangoes (a variety I’ll never remember), and a wild peacock named Chiku wanders freely.
I miss everyone deeply and already look forward to my next detox!
Fantastic experience. All of the team are very friendly and welcoming. Excellent Ayurvedic massage treatment
Lovely food, service and in lovely grounds. The staff are excellent and the homemade pickle was fantastic. Room was clean comfortable and lovely.
I had a wonderful experience with The Sacred Lotus. Right from booking the appointment to the consultation and therapy, everything was very smooth. Every staff member was incredibly courteous and warm in their approach. What I truly loved was the warmth and care of each staff. Whether it's consultation or yoga session or therapy, everyone's approach was filled with warmth. I loved the entire experience. Will definitely recommend TSL to everyone.
Amazing place! Excellent customer care♥️
A magical, quiet place. The best Ayurvedic treatments I have done in Kerala! The staff is professional and charming. Everyone is very nice. Authentic meals.
The cleanliness could be better.. the pool looks unclean
This is a hidden gem and excellent place with beautiful architecture and furniture and the most friendly and professional people! Ideal to disconnect and recharge while also being very close to the city. Parking my rented scooter was also no problem (I would actually recommend you to rent a scooter to explore the surroundings and have some fun in the quirky-chaotic traffic)
It is not the typical hotel but rather an ayurverdic yoga retreat and at times feels more like a beautiful and peaceful clinic.
I had a wonderful time there also enjoying an express "RESET" ayurveda treatment of 5 days including light vegetarian breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as yoga sessions and specific ayurvedic therapies such as for ex. Abhyangam (massage of the entire body from the head to the toe with Dosha-specific warm herb-infused oil), steam bath etc. Lost 2Kg in only 5 days!
The whole team who work there (Dr. Anusree, Dr. Manmohan, Dr. Talwin, Ananthu, Maya, Sachin, Sajeev, Mohit and everyone else that I forgot to mention) are just wonderful! Thank you all for you kindness, advise, help and care during my stay!
